Where do you start? A blank space is always the best way to start. Purge what you don’t need and want. Clear out the space and see what square footage you are working with. Open and closed shelving is so helpful! Open shevling is great for grabbing the items you work with the most (easily grab and go). The closed shelving is great for hiding the mess! And messes are just part of creating!
You’ll need a solid work surface, mine is a kitchen island from IKEA! YEP! Storage on the front, an area to sit in the back. Plus it’s tall enough that I can stand and craft (which is how I usually craft). It’s even plenty large enough to spread out! I also hope to add wheels to it one day too for added mobility.
Then it’s down to the smaller storage options depending on your craft supplies. They make crafting organizers for EVERYTHING now! I even utilize storage containers for Dollar Tree when I can. These are my FAVORITE Amazon Finds (affiliate links).
Functionality is key! It may not always stay clean, but you’ll remember where everything goes once cleaning day does roll around.
